چکیده

H and C NMR spectra remain the first tool used by chemists to perform the structure elucidation of their products on a routine basis. It is common to provide NMR data on both proton and carbon spectra based on one-dimensional experiments. The increasing complexicity of natural compounds and their synthetic related derivatives implies the use of some more recent 1D and 2D NMR techniques. The purpose of this publication is to describe the main H, C and N NMR features of three to six-membered heterocyclic compounds and also to discuss the application of several 1D and mainly 2D NMR techniques in the structure elucidation of these compounds. A brief discussion of these NMR techniques from the point of view of structural elucidation of organic compounds will be also considered. Correspondence/Reprint request: Dr. Artur M. S. Effect of Solvent properties on Crystallinity and Morphology of Octavinyl-POSS: A Comparative Study

Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxanes (POSSs) are a class of hybrid structures synthesized through hydrolytic condensation (Sol-Gel method) of trifunctional silane monomers under specific conditions. Octavinyl silsesquioxane (OVS) nanostructures are comprised of a rigid inorganic silica core surrounded by vinyl functional groups with an under-developed synthesis procedure. Generally, POSS morph...

Recent Advances in Characterization of Lignin Polymer by Solution-State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Methodology

The demand for efficient utilization of biomass induces a detailed analysis of the fundamental chemical structures of biomass, especially the complex structures of lignin polymers, which have long been recognized for their negative impact on biorefinery. Traditionally, it has been attempted to reveal the complicated and heterogeneous structure of lignin by a series of chemical analyses, such as...
